I used to love my apartment. It’s small, cozy, and close to work. But ever since my new neighbor moved in next door, life has been a lot more stressful.

Every weekend—without fail—he throws a party. And not just a small get-together with a few friends. I’m talking about loud music, shouting, and laughter that goes on for hours.

I’ve already spoken to him three times about it. Each time, he apologizes and lets me know he’ll try to be more respectful. He promises to turn the music down, but the following weekend, it’s the same story all over again.

I wouldn’t mind if the parties ended at a decent time, but they usually don’t come to an end until 3 a.m. Sometimes even later! By midnight, the party is usually in full swing, and I’m lying in bed with a pillow over my head, trying to sleep.

Honestly, I don’t want to be that neighbor who complains all the time, but I’m reaching my limit. I have early shifts, and I need my rest. How much noise is one person expected to put up with?

I’m seriously thinking about calling the police the next time it happens. I’ve been more than patient, but enough is enough. I don’t want to cause drama, but I also deserve peace and quiet in my own home.
