Last Friday, I was planning to have an early night after a long week at work, but my colleagues convinced me to join them for a night out instead. We had been talking about doing something fun together for weeks, so I finally gave in. The plan was to try an escape room, grab dinner, and maybe hit a bar afterward.
At first, I wasn’t too excited about the escape room—puzzles and riddles are not my cup of tea—but I didn’t want to be the only one missing out. To my surprise, it turned out to be an amazing night right from the start. We split into two teams and raced against the clock to solve the mystery. I have to admit, it was a lot more fun than I expected, and we actually escaped with just a minute to spare!
After that, we decided to eat out at a new Italian restaurant nearby. When the bill came, we all agreed to go halves, which made things simple. The food was incredible, and we spent the whole meal laughing about the escape room and teasing the other team for losing.
On our way to the bar, we decided to pop in to a small café for a quick coffee. Just as we were leaving, who should we run into but our boss! At first, we thought it might be awkward, but he was in a great mood and even joined us for a drink.
One drink turned into a few, and before we knew it, we had somehow ended up at a nightclub! I hadn’t planned on staying out so late, but the music was great, and everyone was having such a good time that I just went with the flow.
By the time I finally got home, it was way past midnight, and I was exhausted. So much for an early night! But honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. What started as just another Friday turned out to be an amazing night with great company, good food, and lots of laughs.
