Authorities are investigating a dramatic breakout that took place late Tuesday night at Riverbend Correctional Facility. According to officials, three inmates managed to escape during what has been described as a brief but carefully planned security failure. The incident has sparked concern among local residents and raised questions about prison procedures.

The escape reportedly began shortly after 11:30 p.m., when guards noticed unusual movement near the east wing. At first, officers did not fully take in the seriousness of the situation. Some believed it was a minor disturbance. However, within minutes, it became clear that this was no ordinary incident.

Sources inside the facility say the inmates may have staged a small electrical problem as a cover-up to distract staff. During the confusion, they forced open a service door and made their way toward the outer fence.
